Recognized for Rigorous Research

In January 2016, ABT Associates recognized EAT, Inc. for developing and executing a research plan that met the the criteria for rigorous research.  Below is an excerpt from the citation from the Georgia Department of Education:

“At the close of the last grant cycle, your final APR was reviewed by ABT
Associates and you all met the MSP standards for using rigorous research
methods. Congratulations! You attained this with your high school physics group
in the 2012-2014 cohort. We appreciate your efforts!”

In 2013, Dr. Matsler was invited to co-present at the 2013 MSP Conference in Washington DC on September 10-12, 2013 as part of the evaluation team for the University of West Georgia (UWGA) SMITE grant. The team was one of 5 speakers invited to share how they were successful in developing a rigorous evaluation for professional development. Part of the presentation included preliminary results of the High School participants attending the summer conference.  Results   UWGA MSP presentation
